Speaking of which, i saw the most DISTURBING thing of my life the other week.. When i was driving into queanbyan, i noticed someone had run over a WHOLE family of ducks.. not just one or two, but the whole family.. there was about 10 little pancakes on the road.. I was devastated Sad I cried.. Alot  Cry Cry But it wasnt like they were all sitting on top of each other, whoever it was had swerved to make sure they got all of them Sad

Oh thats just gross, I will never understand those kinds of people.

My OH and I were driving down the parkway near the zoo and saw a policeman stop traffic so he could usher mother duck and her babies off the road, she was huddled against the cement dividers that were there at one  point. We were like aaaaaaaaawwwwww how sweet is that. Then Mr Policeman gets back on his bike and off we go, but what mr kind policeman didn't realise is that the duck was there on purpose using the barriers as protection for the babies against the big bloody crow that came down and stole her babies right after the policeman had left. It was horrible!

Oh and I forgot the reason i was going to post - for those worried about the little babies in the pic. There is actually a very short article that belongs to this pic and its concluded like this
"The eight ducklings, who were less than a week old, were pulled from the sewers in Hexham Way, near to the Rea Brook, by RSPCA officers"

the pics are really funny when you know the ducklings were rescued.

I've heard of people down around lake Burley Griffin deliberatly trying to knock down duck families - just the sort of humans who should be removed from the gene pool.  I'm with SK, just can't understand people like that.
