Someone just posted this on DOL:

"The rescue group who went to the sales for this horse said a lady bought him for herself. They seem to think he is in good, experienced hands and will be a treasured pet, so it all turned out for the best."

DCH Rescue in Sydney often have some nice horses for adoption if you are still looking.

DCH rescue have told people from ACT area they won't send horses this far!  yet they advertise on all classifieds?  strange mob  Shocked

TREW, Horse Rescue Australia or the new Quest network would be better options imho. 
BCHR didn't survive as an actual group, but many of the people involved will still help when/where they can.

I contacted a the DCH mob a couple of years ago about a horse they advertised and they never got back to me.  Roll Eyes

Really?  That sounds odd.  Let me check that out with my DCH contact.  Don't want to give you guys the wrong info. 

Sorry to hear BCHR didn't survive Andrew.  Sad  You were very helpful with placing Splash. 

I keep threatening to take a break from ACDR, I just can't find anyone crazy enough who wants to replace me :O
