Hats and outfits!

What sort of hat? What colour? Help!

Outfit so far is - black jeans, (although I also have a nice stone coloured pair) lycra rail shirt in purple/blue tones, brown boots, and leopard horses! I have two halters, one black one dark brown, both with silver.

I would like to go with a white hat, but it might look a bit weird with black jeans. Or should I get white jeans? That might be too much with my leopard horses.

I'm so indecisive!

Any thoughts?

Oh, this is for halter only, no western riding (yet).

(Also if anyone has any western gear they'd like to part with, let me know!)

I know absolutely nothing about Western but I would match the jeans, hat, halter and boots leaving the shirt as the only "colour". So brown shades would be safe, white would look good. I think black would be too strong. Probably also depends on how dark the shirt is.
Could go for the total bling look and get jeans and hat an exact colour match with the shirt. :-) All one colour seems popular in Western.

Are the collar and cuffs white or a pale blue ? If so, then I think white or pale blue jeans and hat .
But I'm still stuck in the seventies, or is it sixties ?

I am as cluess as Claire, and all my stuff - you guessed it hit ebay.
I still have  white and black hat and boots somewhere, that I planned to use, but never did.
Black jeans and or pants look great. 
I just cant seem to make them hit ebay- I still wear my akubra when I need a hat, but I hate hats

I used to ride over and get nagged to enter LOL, but seriously I was so NOT into competing much, in my old age.

A bridle that came with him - somewhere in my shed that suits him too.
And a halter. I dont think it matters with the colour, both would suit your guys. 

Have a good look at all the horse deals ads and the appy website, and see what you feel looks good to you.
I like the colourful shirts. Some need nothing but the shirt, but a jacket looks very neat as well.

I would  consider adding a jacket.   Blacks as easy as anything. You'd be amazed what you can even make do with from second hand shops too.  Just search about, for the look you see in the ads and horse deals.

I sort of had the decision made for me, got a US made black hat for $65! They start at about $200 so I'm pretty happy with that. So it is black jeans and black hat! I'll get hubby to take a pic of me all dressed so you can tell me if it looks good or sh**!
