« on: February 10, 2015, 08:48:27 AM »
I am looking for a new in hand show hat.
If you know of a good, reasonably priced, online store please post the link.

Thanks

There is a fabulous shop that sells hats in the Belconnen mall. They also sell jewellery etc but have a great range of colours. Or you can jump on FB and Sharon Frew from Equestrian Fashion has hats as does Amie Harrison from Champions Choice Browbands. There was also a bridal/formal shop out at Gold Creek Village that sold hats...not sure if they are still there but I bought 2 from then a couple of yrs ago!

David Jones/Myer, there used to be a hat stall under the elevators in the canberra centre outside sportsgirl?  Bus Depot Markets.
There are a few local girls on facebook that make fascinators and things - maybe they can make one in the colours/design you want.

Thanks everyone. I have had a look at a few FB pages which seem really nice.
I am also going to try designing one myself (and then probably order one after I fail  ;) )

There's a great shop at Gold Creek- Sun Protection something I think it's called. They have summer show hats, felt hats plus sun hats. Getting to try them on is a real bonus, you can check they suit, fit, exact colour etc.

The store in Belconnen Mall had great prices when they were closing down but sad to lose themn :(

Eric and his staff at the sun protection shop are amazing and they always have great hats. They also usually have a stall at the Canberra show but it's more for sun hats there

I ended up getting a really beautiful show hat from the sewing shop on the main street of Yass.
Beautiful hats in a very wide range of styles.
Very reasonably priced and very helpful staff.
