 ;D

OK- I finally bit the bullet, and was brave enough to do a full blood count on both horses...
They are all healthy and happy- a few slight changes, mostly both showed slightly up in urea...
Ka something was recommended- but I will continue to use recommended herbals

Saddle sagas continue- I am going to be a guinea pig- and trial ideas.
I almost fell off the side Of Cyrus yesterday( but in good old me style I keep questioning why..
Makybe had a ride, and we did up the girth too( which also helped LOl)
But she looked a bit classic in my stirrups, but she stayed centred..
Now I will eventually up load the little vid she took of US- its classic, and thankfully you cannot hear the swearing-
Lets see who of you out there can pick something I have or am doing that could possibly AD to my left hip problems... stupid me LOL
The horses tail is so much happier- he is so much freer in his front legs( so much so I can hardly post to his trot) its WOW.. man thats huge... too big for me.
Of course - we almost drowned on our ride-
We better TROT Now and run for home-
and we left her and her TB for dead- AMAZING...
We still have a way to go to fix my hip issues- but its an interesting journey
And I thank Cy for being such a patient teacher- and accepting me half off his side LOL- and still looking happy-
If he decided he disliked me - I was dead meat.

Video number one- Unhappy tail- unhappy horse- new saddle  :-\
I was still feeling his issues were feet and or me etc.. not so much saddle
http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k206/cyrus44/?action=view&current=PB160013.flv
 Next-
Video horse Lungeing- exuse the effort- was unable to find a camera person
I was trying to do 5 things at once-
His tail was much happier- but he was still very reluctant to move
http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k206/cyrus44/?action=view&current=PB170001.flv
Next-
I discovered i had one cold foot- and 3 warm / hot feet...
Dam I was positive we had foundered :-\
Ahhh BUT I had lost my ability to think laterally enough
It turned out the cold foot was abnormal- back off hind-
after corrrective work- the foot returned to being warm, and still is
Then-
old mac boots, as because of EI we still not able to get shod- as yet..
So a ride in the boots- same saddle etc
http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k206/cyrus44/?action=view&current=PB290006.flv
Horse happier- video a but far off- but gives an idea
Then-

saddle pics

and finally I will add the fall off to one side video-
Swee if you can see why I think I was even worse LOL
How dum can a human be
http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k206/cyrus44/?action=view&current=jenny_and_cy.flv

Thanks makybe -

Great to hear the blood counts were good  :)

I'm totally one sided as well. My boy has a bulgy left shoulder and off we pop to the right endlessly!

What i'm interested in knowing is why most saddles go off to the right and there are a couple that have stayed perfectly centred.....Only they were uncomfortable for me to ride in! :'(

It sure is an interesting problem... ::) ::)
What amazes me is I never had that one before..  but I think it might be me too..
BUT interestingly I too have a bulgy left shoulder- and am falling left-  of course the bum bag did not help  :-\
I guess we just keep working on why?
and today- I meet another rider with nice rotund horse like mine- and guess what- they are falling right- I had to giggle Oh yes I know all about that.

I do think this site I was shown also provides some interesting clues- re a horses one sideness and ours too.
I am just thinking about it - and wondering...
certainly the fact that I am dippy in one HIPPY now- is not helping-
http://www.thecorrector.net/id9.html

So perhaps the answer does also lie in making sure we correct the horses onesideness, fix the weak hind leg- and do our best to stay straight ourselves( easier said than done) of course.
I am feeling - maybe in that last video- is my appy "maybe running away from pain" now...
Once we have opened the front end of the saddle- and he no longer gets pinched lie a corsett-  it them moves very freely at the back end-
I sure would buy that pad and see tho( probably another useless idea- but it sounds Ok LOL)

dear me Cyrus- reading all your posts makes me think that with all the issues you spend more time finding things to fix your horse than actually riding him!
hopefully you find something that works for you soon!

Thats for sure-  BUT I did take a year off to enjoy riding- so whats new- >:(
Luckily hes healthy LOL
Ei first- saddle falling off who knows.. as we say it must be for a reason-
Its a frustrating issue- that is harder than trying to find a way thru the snowy mountains in a snow storm-

But it is an interesting journey-
in the end- I guess he will have to deal with pain- like I do.. and keep a bit fitter-

I feel in some ways the lack of work, plus injury somewhere in stifle is adding to issues-

and now hes feeling so much better, the silly animals are now back to playing rearing and their usual tricks.. so its catch 22- the mess in my paddock was terrible where thye had been playing/ driving each other nuts- like someone did some gardening- just because I try to lock them in a smaller area- to reduce their bellies.. they might face solitary confinement soon

I was thinking if you go off left and I go off right, we could just half ourselves and swap with eachother, hoping then we might be straight! ;)

Lol we could- then we would be really uneven ::) ::) Im a bit shorter and wider ;D
I think there is good theory in this weak  hind leg idea-
I just cant figure why I go left- when thats my lumpy side-
I so should  go right with you ::)

There was one time in my other saddle where I did a canter right- and i think was at the start of the year- and I stopped and the whole saddle just went PLOP left under me...

It has to muscle / injury related as well-  its like it gives way-
Diet time plus :'(

I can suggest the chemo diet...with the hair loss and vomiting you can drop alot of weight....
=^..^=
My life is an open book, but don't expect me to read it to you.

Dam- I could do with that- but I doubt I will get it- as I have "the starving bank account diet" that should ensure I never need the "chemo diet"
Was silly enough to pay for when I was 30  for a an anti cancer type insurance policy- that rose more rapidly than a "white blood cell count" with its fees over 20 years...
So I reckon I will stay FAT- with lean bank account... as if I did get sick.. I would have 120g to spend ( but with what youre saying- we might need more)
BUT the smile factor to make me "win" would be you can get well and have the payout twice-

As for my horse- he is on the "grass " diet... hes dropped a bit- maybe.

The "get your tonsils out diet" works well too- I have a 6'5 who is now 69 kg
