Horse BCHR0001

Home found

A lovely family home has been found for this little 13yo mare. She has been named “Hokee” by her new family, it is Navajo Indian for ‘abandoned’.

Updates

November 2008 – Hokee has settled in wonderfully, is out on trail rides with a 9yo rider and others in the family. Well behaved and a loved family member.

History:

She was seen being led on the morning of Tuesday 15 July around Cotter Road / Uriarra Crossing Road. Several hours later she was spotted galloping free through the Mt Stromlo
forest park. Later that day she was caught by local horse owners and handed to the Bush Capital Horse Rescue Association Inc.

We have placed numerous ads, contacted agistment centres, saddlerys, feed stores and equine professionals without any luck in finding the owner.

BCHR has organised vet check, vaccination, microchip and feet trim.
